Full-time position is open for a progressive Site/Civil General Contractor focused in site utility, earthwork and roadway construction in Northwest Indiana. Applicant should be degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, or other technical/construction degreed individual. Candidate’s skills, interests and/or experience should include at least a few of the following.

  • Site-civil construction experience, special focus on earthwork and underground utilities (sanitary, storm, water)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Take-off quantities for estimating, purchasing, and planning
  • Estimate construction costs
  • Project Management— planning and scheduling, job cost analysis, contracts and procurement, invoicing and change orders
  • Familiar with standard surveying procedures and equipment for layout and data collection (including GPS)
  • ACAD (site/civil 3D modeling experience preferred)
  • Familiar with other various construction and office related computer software (i.e scheduling, spread sheets, word processing, etc.)
  • Investigate, inspect and report field conditions

All levels of experience will be considered. Internship, part-time, or full-time position available.

Full-time field Superintendent position open. Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage the construction activities, ensuring adherence to the plans and specifications, including the Project Health and Safety Plan
  • Review shop drawings/submittals and order materials effectively
  • Maintain project schedule of future activities (3 week look-ahead schedule)
  • Advise senior level superintendents and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties
  • Problem solve!
  • Direct/assist foremen in developing daily workplan
  • Oversight and coordination of subcontractor activities
  • General supervision of operators, laborers and teamsters
  • Communicate with and support Project Manager with field changes, estimates, as-builts, RFI’s, etc.
  • Weekly review/approval of employee timesheets (electronically) and project material records
  • Utilization of Procore (our project management system platform)
